Family owned and run, AM Surveying & Block Management is a leading provider of professional specialist services for over 30 years.

As a long-established family business, AM Surveying & Block Management had worked hard to build an excellent reputation within their highly competitive industry. However, despite their strong reputation they felt that their corporate identity was far from strong and did not reflect the modern forward-thinking ethos of the company.

With plans to expand into a fully refurbished building they asked BISON to help them revitalise their image into something that would embody the company they are today and do justice to their reputation.

We were then asked to apply the resulting new brand design to a diverse range of printed stationery and marketing collateral as well as to fit out their new HQ with signage and branded office décor. It was critical that the new premises positioned AM Surveying as a business that was at the very top of their game.

DEFINE

Before work could begin BISON carried out a full scoping process by conducting:

  • Business Outcomes Audit – building a full understanding of what AM Surveying’s long-term business vision and aspirations are, a grasp of their target market and customer profile and what positive outcomes they hoped to achieve from working with BISON
  • Brand Assets Audit – defining in detail the assets which could and would be used to carry the new identity
  • Pre-work Site Visit – to gauge the scope of the work, gain a true feel for the business and take detailed measurements

Create

BISON’s creative team developed AM Surveying’s brand and produced a bold, clean and uncomplicated new logo that works well in both online and offline environments – a symbolic icon that is instantly recognisable even in the most confined of spaces, such as social media communications.

Before the final choice of new identity was made, BISON presented visuals to AM Surveying that showcased a shortlist of brand designs super imposed into some of the environments in which it would be used, such as internal and external signage and an assortment of printed materials. This enabled our client to make the right design choice knowing exactly how it would perform.

Make

Once AM Surveying had selected the design BISON set about creating a deployment plan. This included a full schedule of works with an outline of delivery dates.

This approach ensured that the introduction of the new identity:

  • Was efficiently and effectively co-ordinated
  • Met agreed deadlines
  • Caused minimal disruption during physical installations
  • Maintained a high and consistent quality

The scope of the identity roll-out required BISON to design and produce a suite of business stationery and a variety of marketing collateral and digital assets, including:

  • Letterheads (printed and digital templates)
  • Business cards
  • Compliment slips
  • Roller banners
  • Leaflets
  • Email signatures
  • Professional photo shoot
  • Full set of brand guidelines

BISON has also applied the new identity to a range of external and internal signage which we produced and then installed at AM Surveying’s new premises. The new brand has been further reinforced, in a simple yet impactful way, by integrating it with wall décor and frosted large glass panels within the building.

Achieve

AM Surveying now has a modern identity that reflects its reputation and strong market position. Whilst working on this project BISON formed a strong relationship with the team at AM Surveying & Block Management and enjoyed working closely with them to support them in achieving their growth objectives including a significant increase in business.
